I had a little time to check out Fruitgrowers this morning. Nothing really rare but some good birds were present. Highlights were one Stilt Sandpiper, a few other shorebirds (see below), two Sandhill Cranes (the local breeders?), and Purple Martins (only second time I have detected them here). The peeps were very distant and I felt comfortable leaving them unidentified! The water level is way down and you need to walk out (wear shoes you don't mind getting muddy!) a ways to see the shorebirds.
