Eagle County: --An American Three-toed Woodpecker was reported by Dee on the West Grouse Creek Trail in Minturn on September 12. El Paso County: --3 Green Herons were reported by Pals on the Fountain Creek Regional Park Fall Count on September 12. El Paso/Pueblo Counties: At Chico Basin Ranch: --On September 11, Drummond reported a BLUE-HEADED VIREO and Great Crested Flycatcher near HQ. --On September 12, Gibbons banded an Ovenbird. Fremont County: --Moss reported an juv Eastern Phoebe and Indigo Bunting on the Canon City Riverwalk on September 12. Larimer County: --A Least Tern was reported by Reeser at Boyd Lake State Park on September 10. Moffat County: --3 Nashville Warblers were reported by Luke at Loudy-Simpson Park in Craig on September 12. Prowers County: --A Great Crested Flycatcher has been visiting the yard of Linda Paulsen north of Lamar on September 13. Birders are welcome. The yard is at the corner of CR 7 and CR SS. It is 6 miles north of Lamar Truck Plaza on CR 7 and 1 mile south of Thurston Lake. Pueblo County: --A male Blackpoll Warbler in breeding plumage was reported by Dave Silverman in his yard on September 10. Birders are welcome to visit the yard which is one mile south of Rye at the NW corner of Birch & Norton. --An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Silverman at Frog Pond at the west end of Terlesa St in Colorado City. It was seen from September 5 - 10. Sedgwick County: --Wild reported 3 Short-billed Dowitchers and a CAPE MAY WARBLER in hedge row going east from the campground at Jumbo on September 12. Washington County: --A Nashville Warbler was reported by Frieberg at Last Chance on September 12. --At Prewitt on September 12, Wild reported an adult Sabine's Gull and a western Palm Warbler below the dam. Weld County: --At Crow Valley ----Kellner reported a Nashville Warbler on September 7 and again on September 11. ----Leatherman reported a Great Crested Flycatcher on September 9. ----Kellner reported a lst fall Tennessee Warbler on September 11. ----DeFonso reported a possible ALDER FLYCATCHER on September 13. ----On September 12, Chavez reported a BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER, Blackpoll Warbler, and Nashville Warbler. --At Lower Latham on September 12, Wild reported an adult ARCTIC TERN. On September 13, DeFonso reported a non-adult ARCTIC TERN at Lower Latham. The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, September 19 will be to Rocky Mountain National Park led by Chris Owens (303-772-6048). Meet the leader at 0800 at the Beaver Meadows Visitors' Center. Bring a lunch for the 3/4 day adventure and don't forget the sunscreen.
