Arapahoe County:
--A Fox Sparrow was reported by Mui at South Platte Park on September 12.

Custer/Huerfano Counties:
--Along Greenhorn Mountain Road, Percival reported American Three-toed 
Woodpeckers, 2 on September 11 and 1 on September 12.

Delta County:
--A Black Phoebe was reported by Siders in Escalante Canyon near the 
Escalante/Dry Fork Confluence on September 15.

Denver County:
--A breeding plumaged Common Loon and imm RED-THROATED LOON were reported by 
Tina Jones on Marston Reservoir on July 11.  Bob Andrews reported that the 
RED-THROATED LOON and five Common Loons were
seen on the Bear Creek Fall Count on September 12.

Eagle County:
--An American Three-toed Woodpecker was reported by Dee on the West Grouse 
Creek Trail in Minturn on September 12.

El Paso County:
--3 Green Herons were reported by Pals on the Fountain Creek Regional Park Fall 
Count on September 12.
  
El Paso/Pueblo Counties:
At Chico Basin Ranch:
--On September 11, Drummond reported a BLUE-HEADED VIREO and Great Crested 
Flycatcher near HQ.
--On September 12, Gibbons banded an Ovenbird.
--On September 15, Gibbons reported that the Great Crested Flycatcher was still 
near HQ.

Fremont County:
--Moss reported an juv Eastern Phoebe and Indigo Bunting on the Canon City 
Riverwalk on September 12.
--A female Prothonotary Warbler was reported by Rich Miller in the east section 
of the Canon City Riverwalk on September 14.  The bird was about 200 yards west 
of the MacKenzie Ave Parking lot.  

Jefferson County:
--A Broad-winged Hawk was reported by Andrews on the Meadowlark Trail of Deer 
Creek Canyon Park on September 14.

Larimer County:
--A Least Tern was reported by Reeser at Boyd Lake State Park on September 10.

Moffat County:
--3 Nashville Warblers were reported by Luke at Loudy-Simpson Park in Craig on 
September 12.

Prowers County:
--A Great Crested Flycatcher has been visiting the yard of Linda Paulsen north 
of Lamar on September 13.
Birders are welcome.  The yard is at the corner of CR 7 and CR SS.  It is 6 
miles north of Lamar Truck Plaza on CR 7 and 1 mile south of Thurston Lake.  
Paulsen reported that the bird was see again on September 14.

Pueblo County:
--A male Blackpoll Warbler in breeding plumage was reported by Dave Silverman 
in his yard on September 10.
Birders are welcome to visit the yard which is one mile south of Rye at the NW 
corner of Birch & Norton.
--An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Silverman at Frog Pond at the west end of 
Terlesa St in Colorado City.
It was seen from September 5 - 10.
--An ALDER FLYCATCHER was reported by Silverman in Colorado City near the 
junction of Purgatoire Way and Colorado Blvd on September 13.
--A Black Phoebe was reported by Silverman on the north side of Purgatoire Way 
by a small pond near Colorado Blvd on September 14.
--A Northern Waterthrush was reported by Silverman on Greenhorn Creek about .25 
mile upstream from the Colorado City Treatment Plant on September 12.

Sedgwick County:
--Wild reported 3 Short-billed Dowitchers and a CAPE MAY WARBLER in hedge row 
going east from the campground at Jumbo on September 12.

Washington County:
--At Prewitt on September 12, Wild reported an adult Sabine's Gull and a 
western Palm Warbler below the dam.
--At Last Chance
----On September 12, Frieberg reported a Nashville Warbler.
----On September 14, Huffstater reported a Black-and-white Warbler, Nashville 
Warbler and Northern Waterthrush.

Weld County:
--At Crow Valley
----Kellner reported a Nashville Warbler on September 7 and again on September 
11.
----Leatherman reported a Great Crested Flycatcher on September 9.
----Kellner reported a lst fall Tennessee Warbler on September 11.
----DeFonso reported a possible ALDER FLYCATCHER on September 13.
----On September 12, Chavez reported a BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER, Blackpoll Warbler, 
and Nashville Warbler.
----On September 14, Leatherman reported a BLUE-HEADED VIREO.
--At Lower Latham on September 12, Wild reported an adult ARCTIC TERN.  On 
September 13, DeFonso reported a non-adult ARCTIC TERN at Lower Latham.

The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, September 19 will be to Rocky Mountain 
National Park led by Chris Owens (303-772-6048).  Meet the leader at 0800 at 
the Beaver Meadows Visitors' Center.  Bring a lunch for the 3/4 day adventure 
and don't forget the sunscreen.

The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, September 20 will be to Prewitt Reservoir and 
the Eastern Plains led by Bill Schmoker 
([email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>).  Meet the leader at 0700 at the 
Pepper Pod Restaurant in Hudson at the junction of I-76 and Hwy 52.  Full day 
trip; bring lunch and plan to consolidate into carpools from Hudson.  Bring a 
radio and a scope if you have one.
