Saturday, September 19 Rocky Mountain National Park Leader: Chris Owens, (303) 772-6048 Meet Leader at 0800 at the Beaver Meadows Visitors' Center. What better way to spend the last weekend of summer than by taking in the splendor of the Park in pursuit of its avian treasures! Bring a lunch along for this 3/4 day adventure, and don't forget the sunscreen. Sunday, September 20 Prewitt Reservoir and the Eastern Plains Leader: Bill Schmoker, [email protected] Meet Leader at 0700 at the Pepper Pod Restaurant in Hudson at the junction of I-76 and highway 52. Bill will use his uncanny divining skills to lead us to where the birds are at various hot-spots along the I-76 corridor. Expect the unexpected! Full day trip; bring lunch, and plan to consolidate into carpools from Hudson. Bring a radio and a scope if you have one. Saturday, September 26 Rocky Mountain Arsenal Leader: Dave Rhoades, (303) 424-8633 Meet Leader at 0800 at the Arsenal Visitors' Center at 56th and Havana and enjoy a guided birding tour of the Arsenal until 1:00 p.m. Lunch optional. This is a space-limited trip; pre-registration with the leader is required. Sunday, September 27 Lyons Area Birding with the Such Brothers Leaders: Marcel (age 13) and Joel (age 11) Such Contact: Davis, (303) 823-5332 DFO is pleased to offer this special youth-led trip in partnership with the Boulder Bird Club. Marcel and Joel are exceptionally talented young birders; they have won awards from the American Birding Association for their field notes and photography, and youth participation for this trip is encouraged.
