A nice variety of birds today, as we move from warblers and into sparrows.
My 2 favorites and rarities for the banding station - a Brown Creeper and a
Blue Jay. Total banded was 22:

Blue Jay 1

Brown Creeper 1

House Wren 1

Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1

Hermit Thrush 2

Orange-crowned Warbler 5

Myrtle Warbler 1

Audubon's Warbler 1

Green-tailed Towhee 1

Song Sparrow 1

Gambel's White-crowned Sparrow 6

Pink-sided Junco 1

Yesterday, an otherwise so-so day, we caught an awesome Northern Flicker
Intergrade. Bright yellow shaft and tail, but head and throat
characteristics of a Red-shafted.

We are closed Wednesday, 9/30 and likely the following 2 Wednesdays.
Otherwise, open every day. Our last day of the season will be Saturday,
10/17.
