Dear Cobirders,
The cold weather last night seems to have coaxed some mountain
birds out onto the plains. I had a single Mountain Chickadee along
the Twin Lakes trail this morning (10/2) as well as three adult and
two immature White-crowned Sparrows (white on the lores, local birds I
presume). This seems exceptionally early for Mountain Chickadees in
Gunbarrel considering I don't often see them until January if at all.

Cheers,
Walter Szeliga
