This morning I was happy to see that my 2 hummingbirds survived the night. I
also went to Denver West for a very cold hour of birding. Most of the birding
took place near building 6 and the small park with the statue on the east end
of the complex. I initialy ran into two fairly large flocks of Yellow-rumped
Warbler and a few Chickadees. Right before I was about to give up because my
hands were so cold, I ran into a large flock. I know I missed a lot of birds as
this fast moving flock moved into the adjacent neighboorhood. This flock
included:

Townsend's Warbler
Orange-crowned Warbler 3-4
Mountain Chickadee
Black-capped Chickadee 4
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 3
Bushtits 30+
Hairy Woodpecker
Brown Creeper
Yellow-rumped Warbler 2-4
Red-breasted Nuthatch--many
White-breasted Nuthatch
