Today in my yard: 

Sharp-shinned Hawk, 1 juvenile. This bird was chased into my window by three 
magpies. It hit pretty hard, and sat on the ground stunned for at least five 
minutes. It recovered and flew away, albeit a bit disoriented at first. 

Broad-tailed Hummingbird, 1 female. Go south little bird! 

Hermit Thrush, 1 feeding on berries. 

Cassin's Finch, a pair 

Lesser Goldfinch, about four
