Sorry for the late post but I  did not have the confidence to post it until I 
got cofirmation from an experienced birder. Kelly Shipe took photos and sent 
one to Brandon Percival who consulted with birders from Cornell; it was an 
immature Arctic Tern !!!
We (myself, Jeannie Mitchell and Kelly Shipe) saw it in the south-east area of 
the lake, on a sandbar with Ring-billed Gulls and Pelicans. I had spotted a 
tern which we could not see very well. We had to cross on a makeshifr bridge 
(careful, it not too steady) and we refound it right on the shore of the 
sandbar. 
I hope it is still there.
