We did not find the Arctic Tern at Cherry Ck. SP yesterday afternoon, but
did refind the Sabine's Gull. It was not at the Marina, where it was seen
Thursday, but at the east boat slip/refuge, sometimes know at the jet ski
ramp. It was flying west of the spit, and landed in front of the pelican
roost along the west marsh.

The gull's distinctive flight pattern and markings make it fairly easy to
find among the other gulls. The black wedge on the top of the leading edge
of the white wing stands out. Its unique powerful wing beats followed by
long glides on the ground barrier layer over the lake give the impression it
is floating.
