Viewing conditions were a lot better today between 8 and 10 at Cherry
Creek (calmer, no boats, no heat shimmer), but I still did not see the jaeger
that was reported yesterday. The Pacific Loon that Chris Woods found was in
the very middle of the lake, but despite repeated scanning thru the Grebe
flock (best seen from the "Mountain Loop" on the west side), I could not spot
the Red-necked Grebe today. Looks as if there will me one heck of a cold
front Tues night and Wed, so I hope that more migrants and strays will be
dropping into Colorado.
