Just as I was thinking of removing my hummingbird feeders for the season, a
very hungry immature Broad-tailed showed up in my Lakewood yard. I guess I
will leave them out a little longer! Other birds of interest in the backyard
this week was a Steller's Jay (new yard bird), Pine Sisken, Red-breasted
Nuthatch, Yellow-rumped Warblers, Western Scrub Jay ( 2 weeks), Mountain
Chickadee (since early July) , FOS Slate-colored Junco, and still many Lesser
Goldfinches.
