COBirders,

A quick stop at Big Johnson reservoir this evening, 10/19/09, produced mostly 
the same thing that has been there for a few weeks now.  I did not see the 
Common Loon but it easily could still be there.  The one bird that was new and 
noteworthy was a GREAT EGRET.  This seems a little on the late side for the 
front range but maybe not??  The gull numbers were down with only about 50 
birds comprised of Ring-billed, California and Herring (1).  There were about 
10 Herring there just 2 days ago.  There were many grebes and a number of 
Hooded Mergansers (at least 8).
