Karl Stecher's post about bushtits reminded me I'd had the flock move through my yard last Tuesday, hadn't seen them since mid-August. I live in the same general vicinity as Karl, near Holly & Arapahoe. I've also had a couple of red-breasted nuthatches here regularly since mid-September, didn't have any at all last Fall/Winter. First junco of the season showed up last Wednesday. And this morning there were two cedar waxwings in a bush just outside my window when I opened the curtains. Looks like it might be a good season.
