Adams County:
--An EASTERN MEADOWLARK was reported by Cameron at Barr Lake 

State Park on October 24.  

Boulder County:
--2 female type Surf Scoters were reported by Nunes at Baseline  
Reservoir on October 21 and were seen again on October 24.

 

El Paso County:

--A Neotropic Cormorant was reported by Drummond at Big Johnson Reservoir on

October 22.  It was seen flying south the same day.

Fremont County:
--A GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW was reported by Miller at the end of Tunnel  
Drive in Canon City on October 20.  It was seen again on October 23.

--A Black-throated Blue Warbler was found by Miller on October 23 at Veteran's 
Park 

in Canon City.  It was seen again on October 25.

--A Blackburnian Warbler was found by Miller on October 25 at Veteran's Park.

--A female Cape May Warbler was reported by Percival also at Veteran's Park on 
October 25.

--Several Rufous-crowned Sparrows were reported by Moss on Tunnel Drive west of 

Canon City on October 23 and seen again on October 24.

--A White-throated Sparrow was reported by Chartier on Tunnel Drive on October 
24.


Grand County:
--40 Barrow's Goldeneye were reported by Jones at the north end of  
Shadow Mountain Lake, just outside the town of Grand Lake on October 20.

Larimer County:
--A YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER (first fall) was reported by Roederer at  
the Matthews/Reeser Bird Sanctuary near Lake Estes on October 20 and 21.

It was seen again on October 25 and has been moving around the area.

--A Northern Parula has also been seen at the same location and also seen on 
October 25.

--A White-winged Crossbill has been seen in SW Ft. Collins on October 20 & 21 
and again on October 26.  The feeders are on private property and permission 
has not been obtained to visit.  This is a heads up to keep your eyes open if 
you are in SW Ft. Collins.

Prowers County:
--A YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER (juv. Female) and a Nashville Warbler  
were reported by Leatherman at Fairmont Cemetery in Lamar on October 20.
--A KENTUCKY WARBLER was seen by Percival and Peterson at Lamar Community

College Woods on October 24.

Rio Blanco County:
--A female type Surf Scoter was reported by Hilkey at Lake Avery on  
October 20.

 

Weld County:

--A Red-necked Grebe was reported by Deininger at Union Reservoir on October 25.

The DFO trip for Saturday, October 31 is to the Wheat Ridge Greenbelt 
Led by Katharine Lynch (303) 968-4750.  Meet at 0830 at Prospect Park Lake 

north parking area, south off 44th Avenue between Quail & Robb Streets (west of 
Kipling). 
1/2 day trip - Comfortable walking, it's Halloween - we'll see what we can 
scare up!

 

 The DFO trip for Sunday, November 1 is a Scoter Trip to the mountain 
reservoirs with

leader Joey Kellner, 303-978-1748. This is an all day trip driving to various 
mountain lakes to look for scoters, loons and other migrants, so bring lunch. 
Trip will probably include stops at Dillon Reservoir, Turquoise Lake, Spinney 
Mountain Reservoir, Twin Lakes and Eleven-Mile Reservoir. Call leader to 
register and arrange a meeting place. State Parks pass required.
