Bob Zilly and I visited Union Res. between 8:30-9:30 this morning. We relocated RED-THROATED LOON near middle of reservoir, swimming among the many grebes. Did not see Common Loon. But then again, we didn't relocate Red-throated after it finally made it's first dive. Union is a big reservoir, so it's easy to miss something out there.
Best viewing this morning was from Longmont Park area on SW corner of res. Park appears closed for season, but sign indicated walk-in access allowed.
