Boulder County: --Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches were reported by Waltman at the Fawn Brook Inn in Allenspark on October 30. --2 female Surf Scoters were reported by Nunes at Baseline Reservoir on November 1 and were see again on November 2 by Hatch. Custer County: --A Red-throated Loon was reported by Edwards at Lake DeWeese near Westcliffe on November 1. Fremont County: --A YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER was reported by Moss at Centennial Park in Canon City on October 29. Larimer County: --An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Leatherman at Grandview Cemetery on October 29. --12 Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches were reported by Charles Bell in Livermore on October 29. --A Rusty Blackbird was reported by Leatherman at Prospect Ponds NA on Sharp Point Drive at the feedlot pond on October 30. At Timnath Reservoir: --3 Surf Scoters (1 ad f, 2 juv) were reported by Wild on October 31. --7 White-winged Scoters were reported by Wild on October 31. --1 Lesser Black-backed Gull was reported by Wild on October 31. --2 ad Lesser Black-backed Gulls were reported by DeFonso on November 3. --1 MEW GULL was reported by Wild at Fossil Creek on October 31. --At Horseshoe Lake, Wild reported 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull and a female type PURPLE FINCH on October 31. Moffat County: --2 Dunlin were reported by Luke in Craig at a pond behind the county maintenance shop on First Street on October 31 and were seen again by Luke on November 2 Park County: --2 male Surf Scoters were reported by Nunes at Spinney Mountain Reservoir on October 31 and seen on November 1 by the DFO Field trip led by Kellner. --1 imm Surf Scoter was seen by the DFO field trip led by Kellner at Eleven Mile Reservoir on November 1. Rio Blanco County: --A Dunlin and 5 TUNDRA SWANS were reported by Luke at Rio Blanco Lake on October 30. Summit County: --At Dillon Reservoir near the marina, the DFO field trip led by Kellner saw 19 Barrow's Goldeneyes and 1 male Long-tailed Duck on November 1. Weld County: At Union Reservoir --A Red-necked Grebe was reported by Deininger on October 25 and seen again by Deininger on November 2. --A juv RED-THROATED LOON was reported by Pieplow on October 30 and October 31. The RED-THROATED LOON was seen by several birders including Blatchley, Guarente, and Mark Miller on November 1. The DFO field trip for Saturday, November 7 will be to Chatfield State Park led by Dick Schottler (303-278-8035). Meet the leader at the Swim Beach Parking Lot in west entrace of park. State Parks pass required. This may be a half to 3/4 day trip depending on birds and weather, so bring lunch and drinking water. The DFO field trip for Sunday, November 8 will be to Castlewood Canyon State Park and Kingery's bird feeder Leaders : Hugh and Urling Kingery (303-814-2723). Meet the leaders on side of road at CO 86 and Castlewood Canyon Road. DO NO go into the park. Bring lunch and state parks pass.
