Hi Cobirders,

This morning, now really muddying the waters, we went to Marston to try to
find the loon that, on Tuesday, we thought resembled an Arctic Loon. It
was accompanied by 4 Common Loons. Today, we found only one Common Loon.
We did see a gull with a medium-light gray back and tail; no visible black
except for smudgy eyes, dot on bill. Nice scallop of white from colllar,
around wing, and up to back. Heavy brownish streaking on head, down to
breast. Wintering gulls aren't our specialty, and would welcome help on
this.
Coloring seems to suggest a 3rd winter glaucous-winged, but ?.
