Thanks to everyone for their ID help.

I saw this gull in the lake next to the Doubletree hotel on the south
end of Colorado Springs. It was alone and very close to the shore by
the doubletree parking lot, it seemed tired or bewildered.

The Doubletree is at 1775 E Cheyenne Mountain Blvd, right across from
Target

I thought it looked like a Kittiwake but the match did not seem exact.
I looked in Sibley's Guide, the Smithsonian guide, and the National
Geographic guide. If there are other guides that are better I would
appreciate knowing your reccomendations.

Thanks
