Today I spent the day checking out the lakes of Northeast Colorado. Here are
the highlights:

Jumbo Reservoir (Logan/Sedgwick County)-
YELLOW-BILLED LOON (1 juvenile) I first saw it in the middle of the lake,
then it swam and spent all the rest of the time in the southeast end of the
reservoir. Poor photo can be seen at:

     Common Loon (1 juvenile)
     Snow Goose (~15,000)
     Ross's Goose (~500)
     Greater White-fronted Goose (1)

Prewitt Reservoir (Washington County):
     Nothing of interest

Jackson Lake (Morgan County):
     Common Loon (1 adult)
     Bonaparte's Gull (1)

Andrick SWA (Morgan County): This is a new property that the Division of
Wildlife purchased, this is the property on the southeast side of morgan county
road AA and morgan county road 2. They are working on a plan for the property,
but they are currently allowing a little duck hunting, reservation only. I was
told that someone took a Surf Scoter from this property last weekend.
LONG-TAILED DUCK (1) It is the first pond south from this intersection on
the east side. Poor photo can be seen at: http://www.pbase.com/image/119560271
     Marsh Wren (4)

Lake Loveland (Larimer County):
GREAT BLACK-BACKED GULL (1 second winter)
     Lesser Black-backed Gull (2 adults)
     Thayer's Gull (1 adult)

Cole Wild
Loveland
