The female White-winged Scoter found yesterday by Ted Floyd was still present
this morning at around 11:30. It was still associating with the Common
Goldeneyes and Common Mergansers on the Northwest side of the lake, but the
best viewing may be from the south shore because of lighting concerns. I
viewed from the south side and lighting was great for finding this bird.

On another note, the gulls are beginning to amass here as they do every year
around Thanksgiving. I will try to get over there as often as I can to check
on numbers and species, but can't make any guarantees. I didn't spend enough
time there today to get more than three species of gulls (Ring-billed,
California, and Bonaparte's).
