Heading to Steamboat Springs Sunday I spent some time driving around North Park
in hopes of coming across some grouse to add to my year list. No luck. I did
find American Crow at the moose visitor center and Black-capped Chickadee at
the KOA campgrounds. It has been a little over a year since I last stopped
there. No more trees.

In Walden I finally came across my Jackson County House Sparrow. A little less
than a mile from the US40/CO14 intersection on CO14 a Golden Eagle, 2 Bald
Eagle (1 imm. and 1 adult), 3 Common Ravens and 4 Black-billed Magpies were
feeding on a Coyote carcass. Four Golden Eagles total for the day.
