Todd Deininger and I enjoyed a trip from Valmont Reservoir (100% open)
to Barr Lake (30% open) and back today. Best bird was a Long-tailed
Duck at Barr which had several thousand ducks present. Valmont was also
well populated but with nothing super rare. Driving past the road
closed signs on 95th St. to Boulder Creek produced 3 American Pipits, 3
Killdeer and a Wilson's Snipe. We also enjoyed the gulls mentioned by
Walter S. on Thomas.
