This morning there was an adult Mew Gull at Runyon Lake in Pueblo. It was on the ice with dozens of Ring-billed Gulls. There were also a few Herring Gulls here. Runyon Lake is frozen over except for a small area of open water where the stream enters the lake. I spent a couple hours this afternoon at Roselawn Cemetery east of Pueblo which was very birdy. The highlight was a female Golden-crowned Kinglet. Also seen here were a Merlin, Bushtits, Red and White-breasted Nuthatches, Brown Creepers, Yellow-rumped Warblers and Cedar Waxwings. The cemetery has dozens of large, well coned spruce trees and I was hoping for a few crossbills. However, no luck. Rich Miller Canon City
