The Golden-crowned Sparrow was cooperative mid-day at Red Rocks.  Very 
surprising was the Chipping Sparrow that Mark mentioned.  Photos of both can be 
seen below.  

Also of note, yesterday Loch Kilpatrick and I found a female American 
Three-toed Woodpecker above Sedalia in Douglas County.  Today Steve Stachowiak 
and I found 2 in the same location.  To reach this spot, drive west on Hwy 67 
from Sedalia to .2 miles east of Rampart Range Road.  There are many dead 
Douglas Firs in this area, good habitat for digit-challenged woodpeckers.
