December 2009 Field Trips
Saturday, December 26 Allenspark, Foothills, and the Fawnbrook Inn

Meet leaders at 0800 at the Wagon Road Park 'n Ride, 120th Avenue at Huron
Street. From I-25 exit 223 go west on 120th Ave. about 0.5 mi. to Huron,
then turn left (south) on Huron and another left at the first traffic light
into the parking lot. We'll head north, then west through Lyons to
Allenspark and the Fawnbrook Inn to find Rosy-finches, woodpeckers, nuthatches,
waxwings, grosbeaks, crossbills, and accipiters; then, depending on weather,
we'll go exploring! We'll have lunch at a small diner in Allenspark, or you
can pack a lunch if you prefer. Trip will wrap up in time to be back before
dusk. Please notify one of the leaders if you plan to attend. ecember 19,
