Dale Stahlnecker sent this email last week to a birding group in the SLV: A
group of NM biologists have been banding Rosy Finches on the Sandia Crest
for > 5 years. Look for bands when checking those guys out!

That's all I've heard of.

Subject: [cobirds] RFI: Banding rosy-finches

I have about 100 rosy-finches that come to my feeders several times per day.
I've noticed several birds have leg bands....some with silver bands on the
right leg, some with a red band on the right leg, and one with two
florescent pink on the left leg. Does anyone know about banding
rosy-finches in the Colorado mountains... who does it, where, what time of
year, last time banding was done?
