I'm new to this group and am enjoying the threads of bird information
posted here. I am especially interested in owls and would love
information on their whereabouts anywhere in Colorado, any kind of
owl. I have gone to see the Snowy Owl and have photographed it from
the road with a 300 mm lens. Several of you have let me look through

The first time I went to see the Snowy Owl I also saw a Great Horned
Owl on Judge Orr Road, just South of Hwy 24. It was just after
sundown and it landed in a cottonwood tree on the side of the road.
I was thrilled to see both Owls within minutes of each other!
