[cobirds] Snowie Owl hunting habits

This is a question and a comment : 
since the Snowy normally lives in the far north where summers have very few 
hours of darkness per day and the winters have very few hours of daylight, 
wouldn't this owl be very adapted to various conditions of light/darkness to 
hunt?
