Probably the same hawk was in the area one month ago when I visited the owl.

Of interest to El Paso County birders : there is also a very nice Ferruginous Hawk in the area where the Snowy Owl is. I saw it yesterday afternoon, first looking south from the road that goes west from Prairie Vista ( ?Kana ? ). Then it flew east and perched on the 2nd telephone pole on the east side where Prairie Vista ends on McKissick ( the continuation of Scott Rd ).
