My feeders continue to be teeming with Evening Grosbeaks on a daily basis,
totaling anywhere from 12 to over 30 birds. They're here every day from first
light through late morning, and often well into the afternoon. This morning I
counted 21 of them, and there are currently 14 on the platform feeder on my
deck! It's so great to have them on a regular basis this winter, and I hope
they return in future winters as well.

My feeders and yard have been busy this morning with many other birds as well,
including the following:

Red-tailed Hawk, 3
Black-billed Magpie, 3
House Finch, 8+
Cassin's Finch, 3
Pine Siskin, 40+
Dark-eyed Junco, 25+ with a good mix of Slate-colored, Pink-sided, Oregon, and
Gray-headed
Downy Woodpecker, 3
Northern Flicker, 3
Blue Jay, 7
Steller's Jay, 2
Western Scrub-Jay, 6+
Spotted Towhee, 12+
Song Sparrow, 2
American Robin, 35+
Black-capped Chickadee, 7+
White-breasted Nuthatch, 3
Bushtit, 12+

Good Birding,
