I went birding in the southwest suburban Denver area on Saturday, February 27
-- Jefferson County near Chatfield Reservoir and in Waterton Canyon.

I was able to identify a Great Horned Owl nest about 0.5 miles south of the
intersection of Wadsworth Boulevard (Colorado 121) and West Trailmark Parkway
-- on the west side of Wadsworth.

I was also able to identify an American Dipper in Waterton Canyon -- skimming
areas of the river 1-2 miles from the Waterton Canyon trailhead (old Kassler
water treatment plant).
