Hi folks--

Bev Baker and I were both out hunting a bluebird fix today in different
locations; she was successful at the Boulder Valley Ranch complex where she
found a half dozen spiffy males.

I on the other hand found extremely muddy trails, still, at Rabbit Mtn.
There were a handful of bushtits and also numerous weirdly singing spotted
towhees (I really enjoy hearing birds practice ahead of breeding season; the
juncos, for example, seem to be better at rehearsal than at the main
performance).

The County needs-- fast!-- a platform builder for the osprey nest support
poles in various places; most are in poor repair (Lagerman, Pella, and the
St Vrain points come to mind). They will pay for supplies and get the bases
in place with cherry-pickers, but need the skilled labor to get started.
Contact me for more info. Thanks!
