I am fairly certain that I was hearing the trill of the spotted towhee this morning in the eastern part of Martin Acres in South Boulder near the High Mar post office. While I have seen towhee's in my yard before, it is pretty rare. I usually hike in the foothills when I am in need of my towhee fix!! Lucky morning!! Hoping spring sticks around for a few more days as I am enjoying the influx of happy little birds!!
