Not exactly a rare or unexpected bird, although a welcome sight nonetheless. I had heard rumors of a Turkey Vulture sighting in Fort Collins recently, and thought that I might have even seen one (very distant) back on March 11, but I don't recall seeing a note on it posted here. Anyway, I had a very definite one while driving along County Road 23 by Horsetooth Reservoir today. So, to those monitoring the Mountain/Washington roost site in town, they're baaaack. Well, at least one anyway.
