Hello!

I've been birding in east Denver's (Lowry neighborhood) Westerly Creek Wetlands
(sadly, this urban wetlands is slated for retail/industrial development per
recent approval of Denver City Council). Spring is everywhere -- despite the
meteorological roller-coaster ride that is March on the Front Range.

Bird species I've seen over the past two days at the Westerly Creek Wetlands
(via the Lowry Sports Complex Park trailhead at East Bayaud and Fairmount Drive
in Lowry):

American Robin, American Coot, American Wigeon, American Kestrel, American
Crow, Black-billed Magpie, Red-tailed Hawk, Red-winged Blackbird, Canada Goose,
Cackling Goose, Mallard, Green-winged Teal, Cinnamon Teal, Redhead, Ring-necked
Duck, Western Meadowlark, House Finch, House Sparrow, Rock Pigeon, Dark-eyed
Junco, Northern Shoveler, Northern Flicker, Great Blue Heron, Gadwall,
Killdeer, and Common Goldeneye. There was probably more -- but I'm a novice.

Of course, these are all "common Colorado birds" -- but such a joy to hear and
see. I didn't capture everything by photo - but I did catch a few of the
birds:

Have a great day! I'll probably be shoveling snow later!
