Well - the hummers can't be too far behind. My FOS band-tailed pigeon showed up here at my home north of Woodland Park in Teller County.
These do over-winter further down the pass at times (Green Mountain Falls, Manitou Springs), but are usually a harbinger of spring up here. Evening Grosbeaks continue at my feeders, but sparingly in low numbers. Good numbers of brightly painted Cassin's Finches are here daily along with the other usual fanfare.
