Hi all,

A quick stop at Marston reservoir today had variety, but not quanity. The
following seen from the west side were : Red-breasted and Common Merganser, and
Hooded Merganser, Eared Grebe, Horned Grebe, and Pied-billed Grebe, 2 pairs of
Greater Scaup, several pairs of Lesser Scaup, Common Goldeneye, Redhead, one
pair of Canvasback, and the usual puddle ducks. The Great-blue Heron rookery is
almost full with Herons and Double-crested Cormorants. California, Herring, and
Ring-billed Gulls were all present also. I could not make out some water birds
which were in the middle of the lake. Most likely waterfowl.

Happy Birding,

Tina Jones
