Hi COBirders,

Partly cloudy skies and slight breeze out of the North this morning on Colorado
Springs's Westside. Only a few Red-tailed Hawks for most of my time there. I
did notice a Peregrine Falcon streaking North above and behind The Scar - which
seemed unusual for the breeze ..... until the gust hit five minutes later at
about 50mph! Made it hard to stand up, let alone scan the skies. Gusts
continuing this afternoon. I watched from about 1015-1215 today.

Observed:
5 Red-tailed Hawks
1 Peregrine Falcon
1 Com Raven
(but NO kestrels, prairie falcons, or crows)

FOY White-throated Swift (none yesterday, 5 today! Fun to watch them negotiate
the gusts, with no problems)

W Bluebirds
W Scrub Jays,
Am Robins,
N Flicker,
BB Magpie,
and thats about it. Pretty slow and quiet, even before the wind hit.
(Also 8 Army helicopters to the South, and 6 gliders and tow-planes over the
USAFA, and two fires - one in Douglas CO, and one out on the horizon towards
Flacon) Lots to see!
