I braved the elements this afternoon and photographed some grosbeaks at the
feeder at the office in Paonia today. Only got pooped on once, and they were
amazingly comfortable with me sitting in a chair outside while they fed.
After 24 cups of birdseed today, they decided they wanted juniper berries and
cleaned up the tree holding the feeder, then vanished for the remainder of the
day, even though I kept spreading sunflowers for them.
