I have been watching owls -- Great Horned Owls -- in and around Duck Lake in
Denver's City Park as has been previously described well by others.
Extraordinary to watch over a period of time (weeks). I've been able to count
4 owlets at any one time -- and I usually locate at least one of the adults
with patient looking. Duck Lake has been partially drained as part of Denver
Zoo renovation -- hope it's back up to snuff soon.

I'm only able to spot the owls by using binoculars -- and then, I go back to
imaging with my camera. I use low-end digital equipment, but it helps me
identify with a little more confidence as I learn.

Sometimes I forget to say 'thank you" to everyone here on this forum -- you
have taught me a great deal about precision, generosity, courtesy and a
willingness to dream! Thank you.
