The raptor turnout was light Thursday at the Dinosaur Ridge Raptor Migration 
Station, but White-throated Swifts put on an impressive air show. Between 9 and 
10 a.m., swifts were zipping by close to the ridge heading north. Later in the 
day, a few were seen over the western ridge and high overhead. Final count was 
44.

 

The Juniper Titmouse also put in a brief appearance.

 

Raptor Count:

Red-tailed Hawk - 5 plus 6 locals

Buteo - 10 in a kettle over I-70 too far out for a clean ID

Turkey Vulture - 8 plus 4 possible locals

Cooper's Hawk - 2

Accipiter - 2

American Kestrel - 2

 

A single Bushtit dropped by a couple of times.
