A quick visit to Manitou Lake in Teller County this morning found FOS red-naped sapsuckers. Many of them. 10-20 depending on how many repeats I saw. All of them calling, drumming, and chasing each other around. As many as 4 males in one tree. Only males were seen.
Nothing else of note other than the usuals. The lake is ice-free.
