After three days of snow, melt, snow, etc., a Black Rosy-Finch showed up in a
crowd of about 50 Brown-caps today at my yard feeder.  Over the past four days,
I've had flocks of 40-120 rosy-finches, with one Gray-crowned being sporadic.
Today at nine o'clock, with good weather, I had about 150 birds, the most I've
seen.  I don't understand the compositions of these flocks or their mercurial
comings and goings, but it's been fun to look through them.
I've also had up to 70 Evening Grosbeaks, though today there have been only
ten or so, as well as the usual suspects.  A Mourning Dove yesterday was an odd
addition.  It appeared with two Eurasian Collared-Doves.
