Chico Saturday am was impossibly windy, so the banding station and
surrounding area was sort of a bust.  One Merlin flyover there was
nice.

By the HQ, one Solitary Sandpiper in one of the small ponds
An excellent look at a Great-Horned Owl
3 Wilson's Phalaropes
1 Virginia Rail, out in the open for a remarkably long time (over a
minute)
1 Glossy Ibis in a flock of about 40 White-faced
1 Marbled Godwit (thanks Bill and Bryan)
2 Willets
A dozen Ruddy Ducks
1 Eared Grebe
Semipalmated and Least Sandpipers
Say's Phoebes




At Pueblo Res:

Nothing much at all on the north side campgrounds and picnic grounds
East of the dam, mating Collared Doves, mating Starlings, mating
Flickers
Countless Yellow-rumped, almost entirely Audubon's
Two 1-week-out-of-the-nest Great Horned Owlets
Many House Wrens
White-breasted Nuthatches
Changing of the guard Osprey pair on the nest


At Fountain Creek (El Paso):

Zero Yellow-crowned Night Herons
Many raptors-- a Coopers headlong into the reeds came out with a Red-
winged Blackbird
Swainson's and Red-tailed as well, hunting the marsh
Kestrels
8 Blue-winged Teal
