Clover Basin lost most of its pelicans, but continued to have plenty of other
birds. Highlights:
American White Pelican, 10
Black-crowned Night Heron, 1 flyby
Black-bellied Plover, 1 breeding & 1 nonbreeding
Marbled Godwit, 7
Semipalmated Plover, 1
Killdeer, 1
American Avocet, 22
Willet, 3
Spotted Sandpiper, 1
Western Sandpiper, 3
Wilson's Phalarope, 1
Franklin's Gull, 20 flyover
At one point, I thought a distant bird was a Stilt Sandpiper, but now I don't
think so after studying my photos.
