I just returned from North Teller Lake in Boulder where I found a
Little Blue Heron. Also present: Great Blue Heron, Great Egret,
Spotted Sandpiper, and 3 Greater Yellowlegs. The Little Blue was at
the west end of the lake but eventually flew toward the east. I was
unable to relocate it with only binoculars. If you head out there,
bring some waterproof footwear, as it is VERY muddy.

I Started off the day at South Mesa Trail. No sign of the Worm-Eating
Warbler reported by Nunes yesterday. There were plenty of Myrtle and
Audubon's Warblers with a few Orange-Crowned mixed in. A juvenile
Cooper's Hawk made a quick appearance.

I then headed over to Walden and Sawhill Ponds. A Western Kingbird
was perched along the road to the parking lot. In addition to the
multitudes of Myrtle and Audubon's Warblers, a good number of Yellow
Warblers and Common Yellowthroats were present. As for sparrows, I
found Brewer's, Clay-Colored, Savannah, Lark, Chipping and Song. An
albino-type bird startled me, too. I have yet to determine what
exactly it was but I did get some clear photos.

I don't have an image-hosting site set up yet, but if anyone would
like to see photos of the oddly-plumaged bird from Walden Ponds or the
Little Blue Heron from North Teller, please email me at mailjpl at
aol.com.
