Today was the best day for warblers of the spring at Chico Basin Ranch (fee
area).  I think 12 species of warblers were seen.  The Denver Audubon Field
Trip enjoyed seeing lots of birds at the Ranch today.

1. Orange-crowned
2. Nashville - 1 at the Headquarters in Pueblo County and 1 banded in El Paso
County
3. Virginia's
4. Northern Parula - 1-2 at the banding station (1 was banded)
5. Yellow
6, Yellow-rumped
7. American Redstart - 1 adult male at the Headquarters and 1 female banded in
El Paso County
8. Ovenbird - 1-2 at the banding station (1 banded)
9. MOURNING WARBLER - 1 male seen by Gene Rutherford, early in the day at Rose
Pond, Pueblo County, it wasn't re-found later in the 30+ MPH winds
10. MacGillivray's
11. Common Yellowthroat
12. Wilson's

The other major highlight was a BLUE-HEADED VIREO photographed at the
Headquarters, and seen by many.  A few other things I hadn't seen this year
that showed up today, were a Least Flycatcher, a Olive-sided Flycatcher,
Eastern Kingbirds, Warbling Vireo, and Lark Buntings.
