CoBirders,
The PIPING PLOVER was still present as of 7:35pm this evening at Clover Basin
Reservoir outside of Longmont, CO. Other birds present included:
26 peeps (only able to id 8 of them based on distance)
1 Western Sandpiper
3 Semipalmated Sandpipers
4 Least Sandpipers
25 Wilson's Phalaropes
21 Willets (Western)
2 Spotted Sandpipers
2 Semipamated Plovers
1 Sanderling
1 Black-bellied Plover (adult male)
1 Killdeer
Other non-shorebird species seen:
Black-crowned Night-heron
American White Pelican
Red-winged Blackbird
Barn Swallow
Mourning Dove
Hope these birds stick around until at least the weekend, so others can get a
good opportunity to see this bird.
