Yesterday, Sandy Arnesen, Maggie Boswell, & I did some work on
our Atlas Block which includes Prospect Reservoir. We found 2 Common
Loons in breeding plumage on the reservoir and a couple of Burrowing
Owls in a nearby Prairie Dog colony.
The water is very high at Prospect so variety of waterfowl seemed lower
than usual. Prospect is east of Hudson. Take Hwy 52 to CR 59 and turn
south. If you continue south on CR 59 you will run into Prospect. The
Reservoir is private so you have to observe it from outside the fence.
